A short lived project
Dying before its time when Rapport International foldedDesigned by Chris Humberstone and bought to life by Rapport International. Four chassis built. Two cars now exist. One car, the convertible, built by factory. One car, the Patrick Motor Group (PMG) estate, built from parts and a remaining chassis.
As Chris Humberstone stated “once it was refined it (the Forte) worked very well and gave a real feeling of saloon car integrity”. A sophisticated electro-hydraulic system was employed to stow the aluminium and steel roof within the boot space. The roof panel also featured its own electrically-operated glass “moonroof”.
